Here is the poster I recently designed for the AIGA End os Summer Poster Show. I really liked the concept for the show and chose Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones as a song to represent in poster form. When designing the poster I used the lyrics, “I see a red door and I want to paint it black” as inspiration. My first concept involved an old red door covered in black paint but wasn’t translating well into a poster. I then decided to do some custom lettering to give the feel of classic Rock ’n Roll with wet, dripping paint and let the words do the talking. Enjoy.
