Well I’ve finally gotten around to posting all of the awesomness that is the Underdark! Intuition Ale released their limited edition Underdark bottles recently, and I had the wonderful privilege to design it. In addition to the bottle I designed accompanying poster, T-Shirt as well as a snifter.

The design behind the Underdark comes from Intuitions owner, Ben Davis’ love for D&D. For those of you unfamiliar with a 20 sided dice, D&D is Dungions & Dragons  a role playing game of epic proportions and the Underdark is an underground region within the game. Having rolled a few dice in my day Ban and I hit it off with our conversation on design ideas and what he would like to see. After a few initial sketches, the Mind Flayer look was chosen and I really wanted the bottle to stand out against other beers on a shelf so I incorporated the lime green. As the Underdark is aged in burbon, the lime wax is a nod to this and the lime color acts as a highlight throughout the designs.

In addition to art duties I also got to flex my creative writing chops and wrote the description of the Underdark.

This was an amazing project to work on and the beer tastes awesome as well.

So This morning I found out that my beloved team, the Jacksonville Jaguars have a new logo. Not to pass up an opportunity to put my creative twist on the new logo I have created the Jacksonville Grumpy Cats logo. I used the new Jacksonville Jaguars logo as the basis and incorporated everyone’s favorite feline meme, Grumpy Cat.

Also, please bear with me, I created this on my lunch break so it’s not perfect but I wanted to design it while my inspiration was running high. I’ll try to come up some more comps options when I get a chance. For now, please enjoy and share with anyone you think would find this entertaining.

Seasons greeting everyone! Wow, 2012 has come and gone and it’s been a busy year. I would like to thank all the clients, new and old who reached out to me this year for their design needs. I’m proud to have worked with all of you.

Submission Guidelines:

• All art must be on a skateboard deck.
• Any medium can be used but take into consideration that these will be hung so please do not make them to bulky or heavy for display.
• An artist may submit more then one piece.
• Include your name, number, email address and price on the back of your work.
• Deadline for submissions is Saturday, February 2nd.

Submissions may be dropped off at CoRK and further locations TBD.

Intuition Ale has their two year anniversary coming up and I used their preexisting style and logo to come up with a celebratory pint glass as well as a poster. I love beer, and I love working with breweries on projects and this was no exception. Intuition has a week long celebration planned in which they will be releasing a new beer every night and then all beers will be available at their two year anniversary celebration. Drink up!

Here is my submission for this years Always Summer Poster Show. The idea behind the show is you design a poster based on your favorite song of the summer and at the show you can see all of the posters designed while they play the songs, genius right? Well my favorite song of the summer just happened to be Kitty Pryde and Riff Raff’s Orion’s Belt, check the video below. Basically I just really dig the track and the video and I’ve been rocking it all summer so it was my first choice as poster design. In the video there is a reoccurring scene of Kitty and Riff just rapping into the camera and I liked the simplicity of the shot so I turned it into an illustration.
